Heerweg

The name of this hiking track refers to ancient routes of the napoleonic armies. Here you can find Napoleon's traces on 14km, passing crane breeding sites, the small half-timbered city of Lüchow and get back to Satemin along the Hohe Geest area.

Das Grüne Band

In the south of Wendland, along the former inner german border, is the nature reserve Grünes Band, which extends to 1400km and actually is the former dead zone between east and west. Today, it has a surprisingly rich flora and fauna and is largely untouched. You can follow the path of our bicycle tour or let us drive you into the area. The lower proposal for hiking has a length of about 12km.

Rundlings-Rundweg

The circular villages are the characteristic feature of Wendland. History and present of the villages and buildings as well as daily life of today's residents can be discovered on this 34km trail. Start is in Satemin, from where a provided map explains villages and their history.

Slavic village names like Jabel, Gühlitz, Belitz, Göttien or Satemin as well as field names like Passareiken, Ley and Fungahl remind us of the very first slavic seddlers 1400 years ago. This track gives the bicyclist (on mostly small asphalted roads) an intimate view of fields, forests and nature.

Das Grüne Band

South von Satemin, along the former inner german border, Wendland is touched by the nature reserve Grünes Band (green ribbon). End of the western world until 1989, the former border strip is now home of many rare flowers and animals, since it has been untouched through decades. Our bicycle trail of about 20km connects nice Wendland spots with a part of the nature reserve. On www.erlebnisgruenesband.de you find detailed information about the nature reserve.
